Alex Gonzaga, parents contracted COVID-19: ‘Nagkaroon ng outbreak sa aming bahay’

Alex Gonzaga revealed on her YouTube channel that she and her family contracted COVID-19.

The actress-vlogger shared her COVID journey in her latest vlog.

"This week maraming nagtatanong sa akin kung bakit hindi pa ako lumalabas sa Lunch Out Loud, hindi pa ako nakapapakita sa show for two weeks it's because nagka-COVID po ako and thank God ako po ay naka-survive. Actually the whole family nagkaroon ng outbreak dito sa aming bahay." Alex revealed.

Alex suspected that her family contracted the virus from the food that was ordered outside by one of the people living with them. 

"Nakuha namin siya out of pagkain sa labas. Nagyaya siya nawala lang siya ng ilang hours pagbalik niya siguro don niya nakuha 'yung COVID. Ang una pong nahawa sa amin which thank God she is very asymptomatic, is my mom." 

Aside from Alex and her mom Pinty, her dad Bonoy, her boyfriend Mikee Morada, and her assistant Sofie tested positive for COVID-19. 

he entire family underwent two weeks of quarantine.

In her vlog, Alex shared the steps she did in order to combat the virus like taking vitamins, eating healthy, and taking long hours of rest. 

On their 15th day of quarantine, Alex and her family underwent testing again and fortunately they already tested negative. 

"We survived COVID," Alex said. 

"We really have to be extra, extra, extra, careful. And that's why I am showing you this to let you know that you can survive COVID, kaya niyo, huwag kayong mag-panic and if ever naman na hindi niyo na kakayin, you consult your doctors. As much as possible you have to really take care of your body and boost your immune system kahit nasa loob lang kayo ng bahay," she shared.

"Netizens, i will share with you one of the low moments in my life.. Hindi ko po ito nakuha sa work kundi sa kasamahan namin sa bahay na lumabas para lang kumain. My parents have been very careful na di lumabas kaya nakakalungkot na pati sila nahawa but praise God sila naman ay asymptomatic. Ito ang pinagdadaanan ko for the past 3 weeks at MAGALING na kami lahat🙏🏼"
